Rosman Ferries - Our Fleet


All three Rosman vessels are Australian registered ships, purpose built for Rosman to use as function vessels on Sydney Harbour. Our ships are constructed from timber, which gives a sense of traditional charm, unattainable with today's modern construction materials. For formal occasions or for the party of a lifetime, there could be no better place to entertain than on Sydney Harbour aboard a Rosman Ferry. Rosman prides itself on ensuring that its vessels are meticulously maintained to the highest standards.

Royale was built at Kurnell in Sydney to the order of Charles H Rosman and the design of Warwick Hood. She was launched in 1974. Royale is an outstanding example of the Shipwright's skills and combines the warmth of timber with the utility necessary for her trade into a happy package. Her wide, light and airy decks, along with her open areas are ideally suited to sight seeing, partying and celebrations of all kinds on beautiful Sydney Harbour.

Radar was built immediately after World War 2, and is the senior member of the Rosman fleet. This ferry is suitable for a variety of informal events, and carries up to 150 passengers for charter (more for transport). Radar does not have a liquor license, however in most circumstances you are welcome to provide your own drinks. Rosmans are able to arrange bar staff to serve your beverages if you require this service. Catering and DJs can also be organised. This vessel is ideal for larger groups and social club fundraisers.

Regal II is the newest vessel of our fleet and is constructed from timber (carvel planked) with the hull and framework made from hardwood. Teak has been used on her deck and interior trim. Regal is a single deck ferry with an open top deck, allowing small numbers of passengers to gain uninterrupted views of our magnificent Sydney Harbour. Ideal for 21st birthdays and small private celebrations.
